ACL Rehabilitation

An ACL injury demands 9 to 12+ months of physical recovery and also challenges your mindset, sense of identity, and confidence. At Will Power PT, we support athletes through every phase of this long, physical, and emotional journey. With 1-on-1 sessions led by the same Doctor of Physical Therapy, we build a consistent partnership rooted in trust, accountability, and high-performance care.

Athletes across Baltimore County choose us as their #1 destination for ACL rehab because we combine elite-level treatment with deep, individualized support. From day one post-op, we focus on quadriceps neuromuscular re-education, single-leg motor control, strength training and progressive, sport-specific loading designed to meet the demands of your game.

At regular intervals during your rehab, we use VALD dynamometry and force plate analysis for high-level return-to-sport testing—measuring strength, symmetry, and movement quality. You’ll leave with data-driven confidence, knowing you’re truly ready—thanks to our seamless collaboration with your coach, surgeon, and athletic trainer to ensure no time is wasted in your care.

“After tearing my ACL, I started rehab at another sports PT clinic, but progress was slow. I was doubled with other athletes, it was hard to book the same therapist, so inevitably I didn’t feel truly supported or prepared. Switching to Will Power PT changed everything. Their individualized approach, high-level testing, and lacrosse-specific training skyrocketed my rehab. I felt stronger, more confident, and finally ready to compete again.”

There is a reason why our ACL rehab is all 1-on-1.

You deserve our undivided attention.

Return To Sport Testing

Our comprehensive testing protocol provides athletes and therapists with objective data to safely transition from injury back to full competition. Using VALD strength dynamometry, force plates, functional movement screens, jump tests, and agility assessments, we pinpoint strength and power deficits that may increase reinjury risk or cause lingering problems when returning to sport.

By tracking your progress through tailored tests, we guide each phase of your return—from participation to full competition—ensuring every step is evidence-based and effective. No single test stands alone; we use a battery of assessments customized to your injury, sport, and goals, creating a clear, personalized return-to-play plan..

We also share detailed results with your sports medicine team, athletic trainer, and coach to ensure a seamless, coordinated transition back to your sport.

Other Preventative Services

ACL Injury Prevention Training

As ACL injuries continue to rise—especially among youth and high school athletes—we’re committed not just to rehabbing injuries, but preventing them. These injuries often result from non-contact forces like planting, cutting, or accelerating with poor movement control. Whether it’s dodging a defender, pivoting off the crease, or exploding after a whistle, one moment of poor mechanics can lead to months off the field.

That’s why we focus on training what’s controllable—landing mechanics, single-leg stability, neuromuscular control, and strength imbalances. Our goal is to reduce risk during these critical developmental and competitive years.

What sets us apart:

Unlike traditional trainers or group-based injury prevention programs, our sessions are 1-on-1 with Doctors of Physical Therapy. We don’t just coach reps—we break down form, correct faulty patterns, and teach the “why” behind injury risk. Whether you're in-season or off-season, we help athletes move smarter, perform better, and stay on the field.

Team Injury Prevention

Great teams train hard—but smart teams train with injury prevention in mind. Our team training sessions are designed to reduce injury risk while enhancing performance. Because if you’re hurt, you can’t compete—and being available is one of the most important abilities you can bring to your team.

Book your team for a sport-specific warm-up or cool-down session led by Doctors of Physical Therapy. Every session is tailored to your athletes' needs based on position, skill level, and movement demands. We start with foundational movement prep, then progress to single-leg plyometrics, landing mechanics, and neuromuscular control—ensuring every athlete moves with control and power.

More than just drills, these sessions are educational, giving athletes the tools to recognize and correct risky movement patterns that often go unnoticed in traditional training.

Recovery Tent

During intense recruitment seasons and multi-game tournaments, managing recovery is crucial to reduce injury risk and keep athletes performing at their best. Our Recovery Tent provides on-site, expert care to help players bounce back faster between games and training sessions—giving athletes peace of mind that their bodies are being properly cared for.

Staffed by Doctors of Sports Physical Therapy, we offer injury evaluations, hands-on treatments, and immediate pain relief, plus tailored advice for injury maintenance. Parents are also encouraged to stop by for guidance on keeping their athletes healthy throughout the season.

Fully equipped with Normatec boots, Hypervolt vibration guns, foam rollers, and more, we bring the recovery tools directly to your event—so your team stays strong, confident, and ready for what's next.

ACL Return to Play:

Testing & Analysis

Our ACL Return-to-Sport Testing package provides a comprehensive battery of objective assessments designed to evaluate your readiness to return to sport following an ACL injury. Using state-of-the-art technology, including VALD force plates and dynamometry, we measure key performance indicators.

This testing package is ideal for athletes recovering from ACL surgery at any stage of the rehabilitation process. Objective testing removes the guesswork from return-to-play decisions, ensuring you and your care team have clear, data-driven insights into your readiness and progress.

Our assessments will inform your training and rehabilitation plan, and most importantly, ensure you are safely and confidently prepared to return to your sport.
